While searching for his next story, LA Times journalist Steve Lopez (Robert Downey Jr.) happens upon Nathaniel Ayers (Jamie Foxx), a homeless Julliard trained musician who suffers from schizophrenia. Once a promising musical prodigy, Ayers now supports himself by playing violin and cello on the streets. While Lopez attempts to help Ayers get back on his feet and realize his dreams, the two form an unlikely bond that transforms both of their lives. Directed by Joe Wright.
